Thank you sir, may I have another?

I only caught the one cobia, but one is enough when they're this big!

Great video as usual. Question: When you go out to the rigs and fish, do you anchor or tie off or do you let the fish give you a sleigh ride?

Sleigh rides all the way, Cricket. If it's breezy I wil luse a rig hook or drift chute to keep me in the target spot longer, but once a fish it hooked you're better being away from the structure.

swing battah battah! When I saw the title of the thread I was wondering how it ended. Well done Prof.

I was on the beach staring out at the MP rigs and was thinking that you were probably out there somewhere. Any kings the last few days?

I caught a couple Monday and we KILLED them yesterday. Several were landed over 50 inches in our group.

WOW!

Where the heck can you paddle to an oil rig (or is that structure behind, something else)????

Remember, I'm an FNG.

Power boaters know that every rig will hold fish, and those of us who paddle kayaks know the same thing, but we are limited to the closer ones. Near the Mayan Princess condos there is a rig less than two miles off the beach. There is another at similar distance near Bob Hall Pier.

...or network with others who share your passion from the Austin area. There are a few guys up there who travel down for offshore runs.

"He who runs alone runs the fastest" - Native American proverb.

I want to live near the ocean -- I work from home so I should be able to do it. Finding a job, in a bait shop or something similar, would just be icing on the cake.

I'm surprised there aren't more architects down around those parts - www.klcad.com (my website) I do work mostly for architects. However, work isn't as abundant as it used to be in this country...
