Boy oh boy what a day it was!! With my Uncle-In-Law down from Wyoming, My Brother-In-Law, His Son, Father-In-Law, AND I, we wanted to welcome him with a fishing trip.

Got to Clem's Marina around 5:45 AM and hit the water a little after 6.
10-15 MPH out of the SE was unsettling the water in the Laguna but nothing for me to be concerned with. Jetted down south about 20 miles and came up to a "Spot" that made me feel like I was fishing out in the middle of the water, no structure, no habitat, vegetation, nothing. Also considering the water was zero visibility. Anyway, we were using some live croaker (12 dozen to spend!) and just before that sun came up, the trout were already hitting! We were casting out to a grass bed with these croaker and nabbed about 5 trout within a hour. Capt. Allen seemed concerned as only me and my Bro-In-Law were the only ones hooking up, besides the big fat Gafftop my FIL caught, must of been 8-10 lbs,Easy. He decided to move us to a spot 10 miles back up the Laguna next to an island with homes on it, explaining to us some channel came through next to it. Baits were out, 5 mins later, BAM! It was back-to-back-to-back catching! He put us on the money with triple hook-ups, doubles, beautiful trout! nothing over 30 inch, just right! It was a madhouse. I haven't had a fishing trip like this since I fished back home on the Colorado River. We had a 5 man limit by 10:40 and headed back in.

I would like to thank Capt. Allen Sifford for such an amazing trip that I will never forget.
He knew where the fish were, provided great service, plenty of laughs, and a great time. Very Happy

P.S. I have some footage I'll be putting together to show some of the madness.
