WOW! What a difference a day makes. Went from a total skunking yesterday to limits on trout today. My buddy Red and I slayed the surf running specks this morning. The water was clear when we began fishing, then when the tide turned incoming began to just very slightly cloud up. Waves were only about a foot high and the wind light from the NW.

We only got one fish on topwaters, so I began casting a Johnson Sprite silver spoon and got bit on the first cast. Red also went to a spoon and we limited on Specks within two hours. We caught only one dink, the rest from 17" up to 24". A fellow fishing just down from us got two bull reds fishing with live finger mullet.

The next two or three days should be some awesome fishing in the surf if you can locate schooling bait fish to work around.

thanks for the report. All I got was whiting south of Bob Hall. Nothing hit live mullet or cut bait.
