I haven't participated too many times in the last few years but I'm not missing this milestone. I remember the early days and the organizational meetings for the first. It has been Billy's passion and the passion shared by those who step up and volunteer. The National Seashore holds more fond memories than I can count on my digits x who knows. I'll be there come H or high water. Look forward to seeing my old friends. And yes we are old now. _________________ Life is Good |

I missed you Frankie I was in the 11th row I think supposed to go to the 23. Parks folks made us turn around and stop around the 8th. There was no beach south of there and by 12:30 no beach north of there but I am proud of the folks who came anyway in spite of the cold wet weather and high tides. We didn't get to clean the Big Shell but we did our best! _________________ Like Corpusfishing.com on Facebook! |

| Was in the first group and we made it to the 27 before we were turned around. Ended up cleaning around the 24 or so. |

I was in the second group. Section leader was James Clark. I had two fellas from the Rockport Aquarium ride with me. This was Vance and Phil's first Big Shell Cleanup. They've spent time with other clean ups recently. Enjoyed them both. The beach driving was about as nasty as it gets and we were one of the last to get off the beach. I'm so far out of the loop that the only person I really knew and talked to was Billy. I think Ive only met Jeff Wolda twice. I was really hoping to see you and a few other "old timers" but it didn't happen. I did meet a few people that frequent your site and it was a pleasure. I think the turn out was good considering the weather and forecast. I still remember but not the year or annual cleanup when there was but a handful of us. Billy said the show must go on or it would die. Hard to believe it's been 20 years. Through Billy's dedicated commitment and the commitment of other key volunteers such as yourself it should out live us all. I'll continue to be there when my schedule allows. I'll try to post a few pictures soon. _________________ Life is Good |

Don't know what group we were in, but Dave West and Dave Webb were our section leaders...supposed to go to mile 21, made it about 7.
Still managed to pick up lots of trash, skedaddled before the lunch was ready and forgot to get our t-shirts but it was a good experience despite the weather. |

I was with section 6, I believe. We didn't make it anywhere near the 25 like we were supposed to. Was hoping to meet more folks but we turned tail and headed back in around 11:30, grabbed grub and headed back to the house pretty quick.
There's plenty of beach left to clean in both directions so maybe we'll see you guys out there soon. |
