My boats is out of commission for a while. My neighbor asked me to join he and another neighbor for an afternoon trip.
Went out at noon and went south toward pure oil. Winds were non-existent, as was the bite. 11/2 hrs. and only one trout in the box. Tried 3-4 other spots on the way back toward Pita. Nada!
I was asked "if we were in your boat where would you go". I pointed toward a gull on the water and said "there". He looked at me with that "really?" look. Well we made 2 drifts and got 4 keeper trout and 24", 25", 26" drum. I caught mine on red/white sand eel and he caught his on gulp psychedelic chicken or something of that nature. Turned out to be a decent afternoon.

Asking for your advice and then delivering.
That had to feel good! Smile
