Is the surf - this time of year - warmer than the bays? what about salinity, the Gulf is less saline - right? _________________ Happy Hook'n

Water temp 66.7 degrees at bob hall right now... Should increase a little more throughout the weekend... Don't know about the bay.
But the bay will obviously warm/cool faster than the surf with these fronts. _________________ "I never had an Easter, but I've always had a bunch of speakers" - Beardo |

This is a good site for checking on the bays. _________________ "Ya'll must eat a lot of fish" |

^^ What they said about temps, but as far as the salinity, "it depends on where you look". For the most part, the surf does not change nearly as much as the bays, ... but if you are fishing Aransas or Nueces, instead of the Lagoon or Baffin, the difference in salinity between the surf and bays can be quite dramatic.
But topdog15 gives a nice resource for finding out such things. |
