After a lot of people asking me what kind of gig I use and if I could build them one, I am going to start building some of my world famous floundering gigs and they will be for sale to the public.

They are made out of 3/8" s/s all thread and fitted onto a 10' wooden dowell. These gigs are 4 prong gigs and have been hard tested and approved for flounder, sheepshead, and drum. Primarily these gigs are made for flounder boats, but if you need me to make you a smaller size "walking style" gig, I can do that as well.

Price for 10' "Big boy" gig is $100
Price for "walking style" gig is $75

PM me for more info and for ordering.

Here's a pic of the gigs

My Academy gig works well, but I'm just old school wading with a Coleman lantern. Sure wish someone would design a gig that automatically stringered the fish at the same time. Maybe with a spring loaded point that engaged when you hit the fish and was already attached to the stringer, so you could just pick up the gig and slide the fish down the line. Then push the point back together and put it back on the tip.
Anyway, good looking gigs and they look like they mean business.

Those sure are some good looking gigs, never really paid much attention to the ones in stores other than the fact that they didn't look as sturdy as these. Have never gone gigging but might just have to order the walking style gig and give it a shot.

Let me know. They can withstand the torture, trust me bc I have gigged alot of fish with this design. I designed my gigs that the outside prongs are longer than the middle ones. This actually creates a vacuum on the fish when gigged & they WONT come wiggling off !!!

I saw a guy using this design one night inside the downtown jetties. It was pretty awesome. He said he made his so I'm not sure if you could buy one like it. It reminded me of a speargun arrow design.

The same thing as paying $20.00 for a music cd that cost $00.25 to make. Heck it's a better deal than a cd. How may cd's have you bought in the last 5 years??? Confused Confused

I actually saw a guy selling a gig like this at a boat show about 8 years ago. I told him it was a great idea until you stick a big supple bum stingray by accident Laughing Laughing Laughing

Also, the flounder run is in FULL EFFECT !!! They were stacked, and all big ones around the 5lb and up range !!!
