Layer underneath as required. This is where I usually order mine.

Those look great and fair priced. I wonder if the foot would fit me. I wear 13 or 14 6'3" now at 220.

I'd suggest the 2x, will give you some room to layer under them.

Guys, trust me. I've been through countless pairs of waders over the last 50 years. I actually just put a pair of Academy neoprenes that delaminated the opening day of duck season and leaked like sieve in the garbage last week.

If you are gonna spend the $$ for Simms, be sure to get any of the GoreTex models which are made in Bozeman Montana.
Some of the cheaper models (Drift, Blackfoot) are made of a material called Toray and I believe are made in China.

That said... they are better than the Academy/Hodgman stuff (also made in China), but not nearly the quality of the Simms GoreTex.
Just look for "Made in the USA".

Tyler, Sierra TP is offering the Simms Headwaters Goretex Wader in XL which has a 12-14 sock foot. The price is $229 and if you have their app and order through it the shipping will be free! That wader has been priced at $350 or so at retailers and it's American made!

I get the 60 dollar pair of neoprene magellans at academy every other year or rock the 100 dollar frog toggs. They both work fine and last around two years before I hit oyster. Get some legit boots. I have some simms lace ups. They make a world of difference.

My waders were leaking today but it was from the top. The surf was pretty rough, for me anyhow Smile .
