Chris and I ran down the beach on Sunday. Left Aransas at 4 AM and made it to the 30s by sunup. Fished our way off by 5 PM. Driving was good all the way down and back. Water on the north end was way better. From the 45 south there was a lot of weed coming out of the bay from Saturdays rain, still fishable but off colored. Talked to a guy at the jetties and he reported 6-inches of rain over the weekend. We saw finger mullet in the wade gut the entire stretch of the beach but not all that much activity under any of it. A few pods of birds working offshore in the 20s late evening. No sign of anchovies anywhere in range. Lots of new weed coming in on the north end from the 15 north. Fishing was hit or miss most of the day but far better after noon. We caught two limits of redfish, one oversize at 34-inches, one Spanish Mac, and one Mangrove snapper. We also caught lots and lots of hardheads and a few skipjacks between the redfish. All caught on live finger mullet. Good structure from the 20s south. Charlie
