Can any one recommend/ dont recommend a good transmission shop? Having a little trouble with my truck, took it to great state transmissions just for a diagnostic, havnt heard anything yet. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with them? Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Rudy

I dont know anything thing about GreatState. I used Ace in the past and they did good work. They were recommended to me through this site. The last time I took it in though they wanted $2400 for a rebuild of my tranny with a 1 year warranty. I ended up buying a brand new one and installing it myself for about $500 more and it came with a 3 year unlimited miles warranty from Ford.

I also had a buddy from out of town down fishing who had tranny problems when he tried to leave. He ended up going to Cottmans and they got him fixed up and supposedly the warranty they gave him can be honored at any of there numerous locations across the USA

Coastal transmission. Talk to Saul. Great warranty and good turn around time. Great state will be the highest with warranty. Either will actually rebuild it. Not just fix what failed. Which you won't know until something else fails. Then you find out just how good their warranty is.
Did it through a code?
