Enjoyed the beach conversation video posted on the Saltwater Angler. Had me smiling all the way through. Even a few fish stories are told. The way it was filmed made me feel like I was sitting at the table with the guys. _________________ kick your shoes off and cast a line |

I think that guy in the purple talks too much That high tide scenario running the bait out with reds in tow looks like it will materialize after this Invest 98 passes.

That goes with high tides, especially this time of year. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

Yep, was told 8.5 by the folks who watched it go by me and the kids south of Bob Hall.
I once was having a discussion with Ralph Wade while Old Salt Scott Nelson was deploying a shark bait out in the second or third gut just north of the sticks south of Bob Hall. Ralph said he's putting that bait out too far and just about then we saw the dorsal of a greater or scalloped hammerhead in the first gut. Good size shark too! Bigger than 8 foot. _________________ Like Corpusfishing.com on Facebook! |

| Tyler, I don't always fish in the 3rd gut, just when the fish don't seem to be in the closer ones. I did have a close encounter with the man in the grey suit this summer. Had a 26 inch red on a 15 ft stringer and felt a tug. A 6 ft toothy bit him in half. Your first reaction is to try to tug your stringer away from the shark. Then you realize it is not such a good idea as this will bring the shark even closer. No harm done though. I had plenty of toilet paper in the truck. |
