If you have seen the lack of water flowing in the Guadalupe, especially over the dam in Center Point you realize the blessing this rain brings. Hoping for several inches and that is a possibility with the rain falling right now.

Small hail falling too. Don't need that though.

You always say the nicest things. You should be in charge of sending greeting cards to inmates on death row. Very Happy We need some rain and so do the bays. Glad it's falling in the water shed.

We have a possibility of rain in the Coastal Bend for the next few days. Here's hoping it comes. I'm down to keeping one flower bed and the potted plants alive. The yard is on its own and has been. One can definitely tell who has a well around here. Very Happy

And if you kept it all there, what would happen to it?? The August sun is tough on reservoirs, rivers, and streams all over......

Yep - I could live with that, 20 to 50% lost to the sun is a lot less that 100% going downstream.

2.35 inches as of 7 am this morning in Center Point with more predicted to come. Except for the first inch which had some runoff the rest has been gentle soaking rain. My trees say thank you - my gardens expired weeks ago. I expect Verde Creek will once again have water, but the Guadalupe watershed didn't get much of this rain - most rain fell in Eastern Kerr County.

Go here to see COCORAHS rain reports for yesterday through 7 am this morning:

A certain Jimmy Buffet song always comes to mind when I read your posts. Can you guess which one?
