Hey everybody- It's been a while since I was able to visit down there, but I am planning a trip for mid-September. I see all these photos of anglers wearing some sort of a head sock. What are they called? Do they really work against sun and wind burn? I am fair skinned to a fault, and when I go fishing down there, I usually pay for it. If those things really work, I'd like to pick one up and try it. Any input is appreciated..
Thanks!

They're called buffs and they work pretty well. You can get the name brand one for about 25 bucks, but amazon has some cheaper ones for under 10. Good luck to you!

Get one in relatively light colors and made of coolmax. It will keep you comfortable and keep the sun damage away too.

I've started wearing one. It helps with sun protection but also cuts down on the wind burn.

I wear one, and got it from "breathe like a fish". Like it because of ventilated area around nose/mouth. See www.breathelikeafish.com

Roy's carries the Simms version that also has small holes around the nose and mouth area.

Thanks for the feedback, everybody- I will pick one up before I head south with the boy scout troop in September. I can't wait!

You can always get some of them purty red drawers and matching top like Red Sniper wears, and then you be lookin "STYLIN" and "FINE". That's what I'm gonna do.
