How much longer will it last?
I am on a fixed income and my 17 foot Carolina Skiff was stolen a couple of years ago while having wiring fixed in this bluff neighborhood. So, wading the boathole is my only option for now. I depend on sight casting a lot, and the lack of visibility is killing me. I am not complaining, just wondering how much longer we gotta endure this Brown water?

In the area you like to fish, north winds will clean it up for you.... whenever they begin to come in. The winds will not resolve the issue, but will push some clean water in from CC Bay.

Short of a big tropical or the H word to flush it out, I think we will be dealing with it for a while.

Interesting link a client sent to me regarding the DEAD ZONE in the Gulf of Mexico. Same stuff, larger scale.

Also, the August issue of Texas Saltwater Fishing Magazine has a great article by the scientist studying the Brown Tide in Baffin right now. Worth the read.

Gulf 'dead zone' is the size of Connecticut

Yes it does. One thing that will help nasty water is when man quits dumping all of his crap down the drains....all drains, including gutters, sewers, field run off, storms drains, etc, etc.
