I am in search of any food safe/storable 55 gallon barrels. I need these to store sorghum for the rest of the year for my chickens. If anyone knows who has some or has some themselves please let me know. I need them by early next week if possible. I just found some free sorghum!! If you know of anything that could be used please let me know. Cash in hand.
Thanks

A couple of suggestions.

In San Antonio there is a business called The Barrel Man. They have all manner of barrels for sale. I have bought rain barrels and lidded plastic barrels to make into bait tanks. There has to be a similar company closer to you.

Another possible source for free barrels are large hotels. They buy supplies for their laundry operations in 55 gallon plastic barrels. They have to have the empties hauled off. Contact the facilities/engineering manager not the GM.

Where did you find them? I'm looking for some to build a floating platform on my dads stock tank.
