|
|
Via Scott Murray
Scott,
Do you know any hardcore Oso Bay fishermen? We've lost our buoy observing system... think it broke loose from the anchor during last weeks storm and wanted to get the word out if someone comes across it. Let me know if you know anyone that I could send the info to.
Thanks,
Mike

More from Mike:
Any help that you can provide would be greatly appreciated. We are looking for our buoy-based water quality monitoring system. I've attached a picture of it to this message. It was deployed in western Oso Bay about halfway between Ward Island and the wastewater plant outfall. We think that it broke loose from its anchor during last week's storm... doubtful that someone picked it up since it weighs 150+ lbs. If someone finds it, they can give me a call at 361-825-2132. Thanks for your help!
Best,
Mike Wetz

uh, maybe I'm thinking outside my pay grade, but why don't they look down wind from where it was anchored? or would that be too intuitive?

Ditto!!!
The Oso ain't that big. 1 Grad Student, 1 pair of wading shoes, and maybe a radio for communication. Couple of hours. Mystery solved.
Either that, or hit up the local Pawn Shops!!!!!! |
