So just wondering how you guys feel about people who fish local tournaments who aren't from the area. My nephew and I fished the thirdcoast tourney yesterday and he ended up with the winning fish we had a few guys sitting at the table with us just shooting the bull but one guy in particular who was very nice in the beginning flipped a switch once he found out we did not live in corpus. Was mumbleing under his breath about being lucky and shouldn't be fishing in their tournament. My nephew lived in corpus for 3 yrs went to school there and I've got a place in rockport and we've been fishing there pretty much out whole lives. This was actually the first tournament we have ever fished and the main reason we did is was because the money goes to a cause. _________________ Fish fear me!!! |

Don't let them deter you! Anyone who pays their fee to the charity and wins fair and square deserves it! Congrats to your nephew! _________________ JJ |

Congrats, wouldn't worry any about that guy. Great job on a tournament for a cause. Might be fun to have your nephew offer clinics for how to win! Once again, congrats. _________________ wake and speed are not linear |

| I think you have more right to be there than the rude people. As they say "don't let one bad apple". |

it just shows your a "better fisherman" than them. any one who can school a local in their own tourney and win, is alright in my book. Congrats _________________ If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am. |

Poor sport.
Congrats on your nephew winning. A lot of these tourneys bring people in from every where. _________________ Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience. |

Make sure you let that guy know that you beat him on his own turf. _________________

That guy is probably a loser 24hrs a day. I would have more than likely said to him " it's not how you win, it's as long as you win". _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

Just to back up IMS on his statement, "winning is not very thing, it is the only thing". That might have tweaked him a bit. That jerk on his end of the line is probably used to being a sore loser. Job well done.
