Looking to take my oldest boy cat fishing since the seaweed won't let up. Anyone have a heads up on where to go for cats?

Try choke canyon lake. It's maybe an hour out of corpus. Fish the bottom with shrimp, worms, or punch bait. We've come home many times with coolers full. Not sure how the water level is there but it usually produces year round for us. Freelining minnows and jigging under the bridge is great crappie fishing as well.

Fishbites would probably work great and stay on the hook better than some others. Good luck ! Wink

Fishbites makes a catfish formula and it works like nothing else.

Had an uncle when I was a kid that used to drive to Lake Corpus Christi from west Tx just to fish for catfish.
He brought a 70#er to us once still alive in a washtub!
Don't know how it is these days.
