| Went wading this morning. In the water about 6:15am sun was starting to come up fan casting pepper bull minnow in knee deep water nothing. Kept moving and I see tails, worked my way over but before I got within casting distance they spook. I keep moving and about 20mins later still nothing I had switched to a Savage shrimp. A couple more cast and the tails show up to my left about 30' away I make my cast 5' in front of em wait till they get a little closer and I twitch the rod tip.... They swim rt over it. I reel in cast again, 5' past and in front of em work that shrimp across their nose.. Nothing..now they are about 15'-20' from me. Rt about that time I'm wishing I had a net. Made a couple more cast nothing. Last cast I hit one of em in the back just coz they piss me off..lol they took off like bottle rockets on the 4th if July. Calling it a day.. |

Dupont Spinners are very effective in these situations. Buy a case and keep them handy. _________________ if it ain't broke, fix it 'til it is |
