The beach was loaded at the hightide line, as of yesterday. Didn't see much fresh washing ashore around noon, but expect it to be thick.

3-20 miles offshore along the coast is pretty bad. huge mats and long lines of weed. i was telling myself good thing im not going offshore as trolling would be impossible. 40-60 miles theres some weed but more of speratic rips, but those are a few miles long and not quite formed yet. SPI had a ton of weed just behind the surf. i observed all this yesterday afternoon. hope it helps

Went out early today, SBH, grass covered the beach, and was thick in the surf as well.

This time of year is always tough. You guys have any tips for how you surf fish with the weeds coming in like this? I know spider weights and monofilament can help some but any other ideas?
