I'm seeing a lot of success stories starting to pop up in regards to catching the Big Uglies in the ICW and Humble Channel. Anybody have or hear any reports from the Port A jetty chasin the Uglies?

Only report ive heard is from Brandonfox who reported sheepshead off the rocks. I might head out there this afternoon to give it a shot. If I do I'll post a report.

I'm getting same results in the surf then I am on Port A jetties. Been twice in the last few weeks.... Sheepshead, hardheads, oh... and snagged a few "under" reds.

It's coming though, once deeper water temps catch up a little...the fun should start....Can't wait for the first king migration...I'm ready for BTB

I'm going this weekend with a couple buddies so the reason I asked was because we're rooming in Port A and I was trying to make the executive decision on fishing the Jetty or making the drive over to Corpus and hit one of the channels...?

If you plan on staying on the land you may wanna come visit CC channels...They have been on fire lately...I posted a small review of Cosway pier on my youtube channel and from what I hear, she is still holding steady.

Really every channel is hitting solid given the right time. Call around and get the report from the bait stands...they also might help narrow your choice.

Stay away from bob hall and remember the pac channel is closed to public due to stupidity.

Don't hold me to this, but if it were me I would make the drive to corpus. Last week the jetties were covered in sheepshead but I didn't see any black drum caught all day.

oddly, not at packery yet. We have been going once a week for over a month now and haven't had any luck with the sheeps.

I'm waiting for this. Teacher Fiancee hasn't experienced the fun that is sheepshead catching ..... nor the eating part.

Is there a big difference between fishing Marker 37 as opposed to Red Dot or Cosway in terms of success?

Don't quote me on this but I'm gonna say it depends on where the fish stage from before moving by the number...Ive only lived in CC for a few years so I'm still learning about the waters here. I wanna say the Drum and Red have been running down from Baffin to the North in large numbers. I would think Red Dot/Cosway would get less spread of fish. It seems like there are more channel for them to spider off once past that point.....

Anyone correct me if I'm wrong on this, it's a good question I would like to know myself.
