Took some friends out today around 11:00 to go fishing, really to occupy one of them because a surprise party was being set up while we were out for a few hours. Headed to the beach and saw that the surf was fairly trashy so we turned around and headed to the bulk head on base. Tossing dead shrimp between us and another group there were 5 uglies caught. The 3 were 40, 40, and 24. The second 40 incher was 40lbs and man did he give me a fight. Tide was fairly high but not too choppy, a great mid afternoon fishing trip!

Looks like the bulkhead behind the armory. I remember fishing there years ago at night with the family and a SP came out there and ran us off threatening to throw me in federal prison and told me to tell all my buddy's that the next guy caught back there in going to the brig. The other guy with him was cool after the guy left on another call he said said sorry for the other guy being a "not so nice person". Anyways that's a good spot been producing reds past couple weekends.

Was Def a fun trip, wish I could have gotten the other guys on more fish. Lol, the 34 and the 2nd 40 put a nice stress fracture into my cheap $35 zebco rig. Good reason to upgrade! My other penn rig stood up for the beating though and made for a fun fight. The first drum spooled out about 50 yards on a medium Penna rig I have.0 Lol

Well that didn't take long, looks like some guys fished off the sand over there that night and now there is a no tresp sign out there. They left a crap ton of trash apparently, there goes another nice spot.
