| What kayaks (for those who use them) are you guys paddleing? I am shopping for a new one and have been paddling alot of them, but there is one that is not sold around here, its a Liquid Logic Manta Ray. Does anyone paddle that one? If so, how does it compare the the OK Prowler 13, Perception Search 13, Tarpon120 and/or the Hobie Quest? |

From what I have seen of the Manta Ray 14... I want one!!!!!
I am a Wildy guy for the most part and own a old style Ride and a Tarpon 140. I really like the seat design and deck layout on the Mantas. The hull looks very similar to the Tarpon 140 to me. And they look like they have a longer cockpit than the Tarpons. That is a big plus for me at 6'4"-5".The guys I know that have them, love them. |

| I have heard that they sit a little higher out of the water than the Tarpons and Prowlers and catch a little more wind. Other than that I have heard nothing but good things about them. I have not paddled one. I own a Prowler 13 and am very happy with it. |

| it blows the prowler 13 and tarpon 120 out of the water. i own a prowler and my next boat is either the manta ray 14 or the search 15. the search 13 is a damn nice boat and i do mean a damn nice boat but the mr14 and the search 15 are both much better in my opinion. can't really compare it to the hobie quest because i honestly just don't like any of the hobie boats so it wouldn't be a very fair comparison |

Well I don't know about some liquid logic manta ray but the name of it turns me off. Does it come with DVD player? I've only paddled 1 kayak in all my years, a $50 used one I don't even remember the name of it. It carries what I put in it and the faster I paddle the faster it goes, everyone is always looking for a kayak that paddles for them or something. _________________ Mastergunner, supporter of hardheads for state fish of Texas |

Come on dude, get serious...... I was just trying to ask about kayaks.... If I wanted an insulting comment, I woulda posted at floridasportsman.com, where all the natty light drinkin', amateur comedian, inbred retard, know-it-alls enjoy ruining any chance people need for help by writing stupid things on other peoples posts... Congratulations though on recycling all those aluminum cans so you could get enough $$ to purchase your steal of a deal $50.00 kayak!!!!
A sincere "THANK YOU" though to all the folks who had intellegient feedbacks to my question, I really appreciate it!!! |

I guess you got my point which was time after time I see posts like this where someone has spent a lot of time trying different kayaks, has owned different kayaks, is obviously knowledgable of kayaks and the market but can't make his mind up on which one to buy. Buy the one YOU want, the one YOU think is best because YOU are the one who has to paddle it and YOU are the one paying for it. You see it didn't matter what my opinion on kayaks was because you didn't like it and assumed I'm an inbred beer drinking retard:lol: See, my $50 kayak suits me fine and I didn't need to ask anyone else if it did or would. I guess I'm old fashion and like to make my own choice on things. If you don't like your new kayak at least you can blame me. Next time you ask for opinions at least be open minded when you receive them and have a nice day _________________ Mastergunner, supporter of hardheads for state fish of Texas |

Point taken sir..... I simple misunderstanding however, if you read it again, I called the posters at floridasportsman.com those things and not you so don't take offense to that. also, I was asking about one certain kayak because I do not have a chance to test it here so I was just asking if anyone owned that one or has ever paddled it since they sell it down there, thats all...........
P.S. - I wasn't asking people wich kayak to buy either, once again, it was a comparison of the kayaks I was asking for...... maybe we should read things thoroughly before we ASSUME anything |

Thanks, like the one person said, try texaskayakfisherman.com, surely someone on that site knows about the kayak you're asking about. Anyway, hope you find the kayak you want and it works for you. _________________ Mastergunner, supporter of hardheads for state fish of Texas |
