Coming down for a family reunion near Robstown this weekend but want to sneak in some fishing. Since there is so much weed on the beach I thought we would try a kayak. Going to rent a tandem from Wind n Wave on Monday and go out with my 13 yr old son and my brother and his son in the morning. First time for me in a kayak so i was wondering if anyone can offer any tips such as bait, lures, and locations (preferably somewhere not to far from the Wind n Wave area). Any advice for a Kayak newbie would be greatly appreciated so that I can not look like a fool in front of my son and hopefully get him on some fish.
