Will power pro hold a lefty kreh or non slip loop knot. Is there a better loop knot for power pro or do I just tie a palomar?

The Palomar works great in braid, no need to reinvent the wheel, IMHO.

If fishing topwater baits it works much better to tie on a mono or leader and use a loop knot in that if you want. Braid is so limp that the bait will catch up and run over it, tangling hooks. Fluoro works great too, but is much less forgiving on knots, and sinks....... Not much point in a sinking leader with a top water bait!

I have great results using a double Albright to tie the mono or fluoro to the braid, and a drop of super glue never hurts on any knot.

Thanks , you confirmed my suspicions. I fished with a guide in Rockport last year ( bday gift from wife) and he tied all of his jig heads with a loop knot and used ppro . I was wondering if anyone knew a loop knot for braid.

all i use is power pro and i dont think i ever have tied the braid directly to the lure. i normally use a double albright as well to attach mono to braid

If you want to tie braid straight to the lure, you can add a split ring to the eye. Still allows good movement of the bait and you get the feel of the pp and you can use the palomar knot.

I try to use a lil flouro on most of my braid setups....primarily to keep it from tangling with the rod tip...It can be a booger...G

One more time, here's the scientific proof on which one's stronger, by a good measure I might add!
