Was trying to locate a hole I had been told about a couple hundred yards off the bank from Tropic Isles this morning.
Came across this lying in the bottom in about three feet of water. It taped out at 30".
Would love to tangle with one of these guys, alive, in the Backyard.
Sorry about the upside down pic.

| Sad seeing pictures like that, but IMS is on the money again, when it really freezes the kill is shocking. Keep in mind that we're experiencing Global Warming. |

I can remember the winter of 1983. Went to the Oso and there was a frozen slush out several hundred yards. There were dead fish floating everywhere. The next spring the back road on PINS was loaded with carcasses. Damn that was 30 years ago. I'm getting old. _________________ Life is Good |

That was around Christmas of 1983. I remember it well. A few guys wading the shoreline off of SPID gathering up the stunned/dead fish in the slush. I saw the biggest trout I've ever seen floating in one of the canals on the island that day. Power went out and the only heat we had at the house was the fireplace. The temp that morning was 13 degrees. It killed most of the palm trees on ocean drive. _________________ E Pluribus Unum |

Do you think they will shut fishing down? Like they did last year, or was the the year before, I already forgot. Does it have to get colder, longer, for that to happen? _________________ Shallow Sportn' it |

You could almost walk across Baffin on the huge trout and redfish. It was almost a carpet of floating fish. The eyes freeze first and then the fish slowly float to the surface. If the gills are are nice and red....not pink the fish is good to eat. Although its against the law to take them, even though they are dead. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |
