Went down thursday afternoon and came off today around noon. Made it to the 18ish and made our camp and never left. Fished for just a little bit that evening and caught 1 red about 35".

Friday was one of those special days that I will relive a lot!!! Started out kind of slow but got better and better! I caught fish till I was wore out! I caught a bunch of bull reds! Biggest was a pair of 40"s! A 37" , a couple of 35"s, and 5 or 6 smaller ones with 2 in the slot. Also caught some black drum. The biggest of those was a 40" 32 lb big ugly! That dude about kicked my butt!!! Then there was the whiting, and occasional sheepshead and croaker! All were in the first gut. Used the fishbite/shrimp combo and a little mullet I had brought with me. I was WORE OUT by dark and slept like a baby that night with those waves in the background! Life was good!

Fished till around 11 this morning. Was a lot slower but did manage a nice 27" red, a 25" black drum, and some good whiting. Packed up and headed off with a good haul of fillets!

The driving was great! Water was pretty murky with very little weed. The wife was happy with her haul of sea beans, shells, and a huge pile of starfish. Don't know why but Friday morning the beach was covered in starfish. She collected a bunch of the dead ones and tossed the live ones back in.

I've got tons of pictures but need to get home and get them loaded on the computer. Just a great trip though! Hung out with my best friend my wife, had great weather, and some fantastic fishing! What more could you ask for? Life is good!!!! Hope ya'll get to get out there and enjoy it too! Very Happy

Finally got my some pictures loaded up from last weeks trip. I'm not usually much on posting pictures of myself but the wife was with me taking them so if you want to see fish pictures you have to see me too! Laughing

Started out strong late Thursday afternoon with the first fish...

Woke up to a beautiful sunrise! I LOVE this place!!!

Got a double first thing that next morning...

My wife Julie got in on the action too...

We caught fish all morning long!!!

Caught a few slot fish too!

I was wore out after this one took me for a stroll down the beach!

32 pounds worth of "butt kicking" Black Drum! I will remember this fish for a long time!!!

Here's my tally of fish lengths from the morning and early afternoon. 3 black drum on top and the rest are reds

That night we were going to have some nice frito pie. Sounds good doesn't it?

Unfortunately the wind and that door had other plans!!! lol

Although the fishing wasn't as good the next morning the sunrise was again fantastic!!! Who needs fish!!! Did I say I LOVE THIS PLACE YET????

Here is my best friend and favorite fsihing/camping partner! She loves walking the beach and dunes looking for "treasure"!!!

She found a "few" starfish...

Some more of her treasure...

She also found this little liquid filled bottle. I'm thinking possibly some kind of medicine? Anybody know what it is???

It was a great couple of days for us! We are really just starting to camp down there but are learning as we go. Can't wait to get back down there! Did I mention I LOVE PINS!!!! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

The last picture could possibly be a Morphine Ampule...

Great report. Looks like the only down side to the trip was the frito pie.

That darn wind! Ruined a good dinner. That ampule reminded me of "The Deep". TFTR.

Nice trip. Whatever the amp is don't sniff it! You may carve your face off.

Thanks for all the comments ya'll. Still don't have a positive ID on the little brown bottle. Amazing what washes up down there!
