Any good numbers? I've been up in SA and haven't heard many reports.

Tons of redheads in the Wilson's Cut area. There were a lot of birds flying today in the early/mid afternoon. More ducks were around the packery channel and the humble channel area. I got a nice limit of redheads today. Spotted mainly redheads. Hoping to get back out there next week.

Anyone who names spots or skyblasts birds can go to hell.

Relax man, just asking if there are numbers. Because I live in SA, I can't regularly see if good flocks are in the CC area.

I have my own spots and don't need anyone's...

I wasn't talking about you. I understand that you are just looking for general info on duck numbers. That's something others should understand and just say yes there are good numbers of birds or PM you.
Now back to the original post, this is my first year hunting corpus so I have nothing to compare with. However, we have pulled two man limits I would say 70% of our hunts. The hunts we didn't get a full limit we still shot our limit of redheads and pintail. We have also killed 11 different species so far redheads, lesser scaup, greater scaup, canvasback, pintail, wigeon, greenwing teal, bluewing teal, shovlers, gadwall, ringnecks. We have benn hunting both blinds and shorelines and are hunting over 15 dozen decoys. Good luck and hope you can get some action in before the split.

Yes, they are here. I hunted the ULM with my kids Wed and Thurs. Was letting them do most of the shooting, well, because they are kids and they need to learn. Dad calls the shots so they learn not to skyblast, etc.

That being said, as I sit on my back porch in Tropic Isles, up until 5:48 I kept hearing shots from some of the spoils we hunt. Did I miss a rule change or are we supposed to empty and put our shells back in the box at sunset? My app tells me sunset was 5:30 here.

GWs could rack up some easy citations out here. Yeah, I'm a bit POed that some weekend hunters don't know when to quit and give the birds a chance to settle for the night. If you need to shoot a redhead that bad spend a few bucks for a mojo and pull the trigger during legal shooting time.

Damn.

Hunted north end of the laguna and ended with 4 red head drakes (2 hunters). Seen hundreds of birds flying real high headed north.

It's not easy that's for sure. If we are walking in then we use two XL jet sleds.
When we hunt out of the boat then we don't worry about bagging them, plus they are all Texas rigged.

Wilson's Cut - Been seeing really good numbers of redheads (like thousands) every time we go out. Limit on those within an hour. Also been seeing mixed in Widgeon, Scaup, Teal, Mottled, and Pintail with the large groups of redheads.

Nighthawk Bay - Been pulling lots of Scaup, Redheads, Teal here it can be really slow if your not up close to the ICW where they seem to be consistently flying.

Hog's Slough - Got alot of mergs during that big coldfront and your tpyical redheads, pintails.

South Bird Island - Awesome interesting mix of GW and BWT down there for some reason.

Source - Fishing/hunting 5-6 days a week since season opened.

BIRD ARE HERE & BEEN PRETTY CONSISTENT SINCE 2 WEEKS AGO

I never throw more than 4 dozen deeks and been hitting average of 4 birds per trip per person with 3-4 hunts in the blind. Going out on a boat.

I noticed the same thing lately. Lots of late shooting going on.
