| Was scheduled on the 12hr Deepsea Headquarters 12hr trip on Wed but it is canceled because of this front...Thinking of doing a 12hr night trip either with Dolphin Docks or Wharf Cat. What would yall recommend? Do they ever hit rigs and jig for blackfin tuna on these or pretty much just bottom fish? |

not much you can do on a 12hr as there is not enough time to get out very far and to the good areas. it's possible to catch blackfins at nite at some of da rigs..still depending on currents and winds, figure on 2-3 hrs boat ride out and 2-3 hrs boat ride back.
in da past deepsea headquarters has gotten in to some good blackfin tuna on their 8 and 12 hr trips in da month of Dec. you might want to consider sailing with them. good luck! |
