I keep a nice arsenal, so it's hard to say. I usually throw different colors and sizes til I find out what they are hitting. The noise level of the lure in comparison with the surroundings will usually factor in. I have had pretty good luck with a black/chrome mullet pattern spook jr. - also like mullet pattern in topdog - pink, bone, and black/chart are also good. _________________ Save the seagrass......Shoot some ducks |

| This seems like a common theme already but, Top dog red head and white body is great anywhere, surf or flats. I even like to fish them in freash water. |

David,
I'm kind of conservative, so still love that bone Top Dog. Heck, I even use one of my old Jumpin' Minnows occasionally in the surf and they still catch trout. That was "state of the art" about 10 - 12 years ago. I also throw my old Blue & Chrome Broken Back in the bay & lagoon occasionally. In April of '96 I landed a 32 1/2 inch Speck that was almost 12 1/2 lbs on that Broken Back and I still have and use the very same lure. Not many people still using them, but they are true big trout slayers. _________________ Big Ed

| If I could only have one, it would be a pearl skitterwalk (or maybe pink) (or maybe a spook jr in bone). |
