I know there is someone on here that makes custom rods but I'm not sure of their name so I don't know who to talk to about buying one. Point me in the right direction?

TIA Smile

Buddahead custom rods. Really nice guy. Also the got leaders guy. I'm a newbie at it but I find it addicting and fun. You should try it.

I know there are others but those just came to mind.

Call Adrian at Coastline Custom Rods. You can't go wrong. Not sure if he has a web site or not, but you can get in touch with him on Facebook at Coastline custom rods.

Thanks, Hickroots07! I didn't realize so many people made custom rods... I would, but I just started a business of my own and don't really have the time. Ill definitely look into budda head, he's got a website. And I'll find the other guy as well.

The rod is for my mom who for the last 5 years has used an Eagle Claw. We mainly fish in the surf and that pole has brought in jut about everything...but the top eye just broke and the handle is torn to shreds. Her birthday is coming up and want to get her something similar to that one.

Okay, I don't really know anything about custom rods...I mean, I know a good rod when I see it and I know what I like to use, but I don't know what exactly can be done.
I've seen that poles can be stripped down and redone, but is that going to make the rod last longer? Would it do any damage to the rod? Make it break more easily?
My mom loves her rod and refuses to fish with anything else, so I either need a rod as similar as possible to the one she has or to have hers fixed up... I'm just not farmiliar with the whole process. I think it would be great if I coul have hers fixed up, I just want to make sure that it would be worth it in the long run.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!!

You can't go wrong with something custom. It's unique to her. A one of a kind. You can get her favorite colors. A favorite scripture, quote or something like happy birthday written on the side. She will love it no matter what she thinks of her eagle claw rods.

I also need a custom rod builder. I had a penn 700 series spinning reel and would like to match it with a 14 foot surf rod for my girlfriend. Anyone have any recommendations they can PM me?
