Ditto on Bela Luna. They produce great Italian food at a MORE THAN FAIR price. Good business model.

Sadly, the Bluff did lose to Calallen earlier this year, so they have 1 loss.

And I would think a tire shop that is open on Sundays would be nice....and a Autozone right by HEB.

And since moving here....I find it very very hard to find a place that sells tamales and barbacoa and good home tortillas with all the trimmings on the weekends. Back in SA..there were Molinas in just about every corner...and they were always packed during the weekends.
Just a thought....

Wow...never heard of it. And I used to live on Staples and Wooldridge and never seen it either.
Where is it at exactly? I would love to get some, especially during this time of year.

Potholes are getting bigger. Sparrows landing was OK the first time, but horrible the second...heard they were serving minors? I agree, Laguna Reef is decent food and a great place to hang out. Football team lost to Calallen, but if they beat Ray... district champs. Blackhawk changed hands and is now Gulleys? Gas cheap compared to other stations in town. HEB is getting crowded, but I heard from a good source that one is being planned for the Island. Plenty of new home construction going on
Wafflehouse would be awesome. Go watch some HS baseball games this Spring. Son is playing.

same shopping center as the Palace.

I had never been before as I was stuck on eating barbacoa from Sonny's on Port & Horne. Well I have been several times in the last 3 weeks! darn good!

Sounds like I didn't miss anything. I'll stick to Laguna reef for bluff seafood. Bella luna is good. The owner used to work civil service also. The Stromboli is great and under $6!

I hate to be a party pooper here but seeing these comments about Laguna Reef makes me have to ask, doesn't anyone here know about the terrible roach problem there? We used to be regulars there because the food is good and reasonable but one time we ate there and there were roaches crawling on our table and on the wall next to us. We still went back after that and had a few lunches and dinners without incident but one day when I was there I looked at the wall paneling next to the inside tables and there roach feces on it, actually all over it. To top that off I saw them on kitchen cops and they reported dead roaches on the walls. I love the food and prices but we won't be going back.

Im good friends with the GM at the reef. I talked to him about that today. He said about 3 years ago there was a issue and it was resolved. Ive eaten there atleast 20 times in the last year, and never seen one alive or dead. Never gotten sick on their food or had a bad experience. Ive heard of people whing because they use some styrafoam plates for salads and appatizers and such, and plastic wear. If you want fancy pants, the Yardarm on Ocean Dr. will glady take your benjamins from you.
