Nice flounder. I'm guessing that was before the cold front blew through here.

All but 1 flounder were caught yesterday. Got the other one this morning....water was fair yesterday with lots of finger mullet along the rocks. Today the north wind layed the surf flat on the south side. Channel side was choppy and the north side looked rough. Water was to the dunes just about during high tide so be aware of the tides if anyone plans on camping out. We need another cold front to kick things in gear for the flounder but they are on the move. My buddy did say there was lots of reds caught Friday but we only scored 1. Most of the mangroves I saw caught were as big as I've ever seen. All caught on live mullet

I call it a fish finder rig. Egg weight with about 10inchs of line with hook at the end. Anyone care to explain the difference between that and a Carolina rig. Carolina rig to me is an egg weight that slides all the way down to the hook. A pro can clarify the 2. I just know what works and stick with it

Nice mess of fish. I always thought carolina rig was how you described your fish finder rig. The way i was taught was to have a sliding egg weight on your mainline above a double barrel swivel and than 18-24 of leader attached to your hook of choice. Who knows? Im not a bass fisherman

It always amazes how flounder can be caught off the jetties, pretty cool stuff.

Take the Jetty Boat from Fisherman's Wharf. $12 for a ticket, leaves every hour in the AM and every 2 hours in the PM. Last ride home is 5:30 or 6.
