If you read it, I posted last week...what are the Rangers going to do when there is no one on PINS to harass.

Well, I guess I got my answer...now they are harassing boaters that are trying to fish in the Laguna within the park's boundary. I heard that they are actually chasing people out of there. REALLY????!!! You are trying to close down the bay too? This is ridiculous!

SINCE THE NPS WEBSITE IS CURRENTLY DOWN DUE TO THE FURLOUGH, HOW IN THE SAM HECK ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO GET ONLINE TO SEE THE MAP AND KNOW WHERE THE BOUNDARIES ARE??????

complete BS...

I guess it wasn't an exaggeration that they were running people of the water near PINS. What I heard must have a bit of truth to it. Maybe we need to involve some of our state senators and representatives to give them the what for. I don't know if it will do any good, but the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

The boundaries for the park start about 50ft west of the western side of the ICW. They have cute little PVC stakes with a little Park Boundary sign on them.

BTW I just talked with another guide that was down there today, he told me there was no rangers or any type of authority down there today....

Absolute horse poo poo. The public is locked out of public property. They're just trying to make it hurt he common person as much as possible out of spite.

I have had several friends run down that way and nothing.

If what you heard is true then I wish they would spend their time doing a clean up or something useful instead of watching a boundary line.

Hey guys, I've been in there every day since the morons closed the park
(and so have other people I know) and haven't seen, been run off, told to leave or any other thing like that, I had lunch with the Homeland group the other day and nothing was said or discussed about the waters in the Laguna......I had a good friend that was in there today and didn't see a ranger or anyone for that matter........I just talked to him.

so I'm saying BS to the rumors

but who knows they may be there tomorrow, I let you know.

Keep us posted. Would hate to have false rumors floating about. That is how Crap hits the fan.

Thanks

thanks for the info ST.....I would have to definitely call BS if the rangers were doing that...they already over-step their authority, and that would take the cake....

This is just a thought guys but I would think that the morons would need to put up some type of signs and post armed guards letting people know the Laguna Madre inside the National Seashore is closed. LMAO Very Happy

It's time for several hundred fishermen to take our beach back.

I'm down to crash it, I just don't want to go alone.

I'll cut the chain, open the gate, and go.

I don't need the beach center, I can rake care of myself on PINS.

Who's in?

PINS was always called big shell as a kid. One day I realized it was a federal park and was very very sad.
