Anybody have an idea of the tide delay for the Laguna Madre.

For example (hypothetical), if I want to fish the mouth of the Padre Canals on an outgoing tide. Packery Channel High Tide is at 2:00AM and low tide is at 12:00PM (noon).

When does the tide start to actually turn back at the mouth of the Padre Canals?

Do I just take the mid point of Low and High Tide? 7:00AM???

Any experienced fishermen out there know what the actual delay is? I know it's at least 2 hours minimum. And depending on the tide difference probably makes a big difference.

Help please.

yeah buddy, just take a look at the TCOON site, http://lighthouse.tamucc.edu

looks like packery high tides are around noon, and the low around midnight....then take a look at Bird Island and see that it's running a few hours after that....so if there's a 3 hours delay for 11 miles (distance from packery to Bird Island) a little math will get you about an hour for about 3 miles from packery to the entrance to padre isles....

so if you want to hit low tide, fish after midnight....although, with the storm in the gulf the tides fluctuation is well about mean high tide....

make sense?
