I'm a Bluff fan. That said, Coach Andrus, has challenged his crew with a very tough non-district schedule. King, close win, Calallen, and Carroll. No slouches in that group of teams. Area fans are in for some great actio. 4A football seems to be ahead of 5A. FB wins over King, and Port Lavaca over Carroll, both excellent games.
Fill like the Bluff schedule will give fans an idea of the areas best team. |

FB now has wins, over two 5A schools, with narrow wins over both King and Carroll. Calallen is next on the schedule. The Cats are looking very tough again. So far this season they have not really been challenged. Glad to see the coaches continuing this series. These two teams always have epic battles.
Alice will be the opening district game for the Hornets. The Coyotes have proved, withntheirnwin over GP, that they are for real. Sure to be a sell out game.
And how about H.M. King? The Brahmas are off to a great start. Their offence has been putting up impressive numbers. 3A seems to be suiting them very well. They've put some hurt on 4A schools already this season.
Friday night lights, baby! |

WOW, lots of great games tonight. Have to tip my hat to Calallen. Great game, they showed who they were the forth quarter.
Alice, got a little tested by Kingsville. Carroll finally put on |

This one isn't local but I just have to mention it. The Greenwood Bulldogs from Greenwood Arkansas rang up # 40 in a row last night over our arch rivals Alma. The run includes three straight 5 and 6A state championships. And last year our head coach Rick Jones was named national high school coach of the year.
We are now focused on gaining the only football record in Arkansas we do not own, the longest winning streak of 58 held by Barton HS.
