Just saw police detain two guys in a suv with a yellow kayak on top. It was at stripes here on Island by the t shirt shop. I don't know what they did , but they searched the whole truck, tackle boxes and even the kayak. Suv was towed and game warden was part of search. Glad to see they got some Bad Guys!

It may not be petty crime-- depends on how much that Kayak was worth. Thems can be expensive, especially if there was anything in storage. And, of course, if they had anything else they shouldn't have had (drugs, other stolen goods). And that also assumes they could post bail. Heh. Very Happy

They might beat the crime but they didn't beat the ride. You may take the opportunity away from a criminals, but you can't take the larceny out of their hearts.
