Got to the Packery Jetty around 10am Friday. Started throwing lures.
Worked our way half way down the jetty with only catching small fish.
Talked with a guy that was spear fishing, he said the trout where thick
he couldn't shoot any snapper. Threw everything I had plus live shrimp.
No takers. There was bait in the water, water was clear but no moving water.
The wife wanted to do some snokeling. Got to play with the camera.
Moved to the south jetty in Port Aranas again small snapper, the wife caught two turtles.
Saturday headed to the south jetty for some surf fishing with the ladies. Nothing happing.
Headed towards Fish Pass Jetty about a mile away found some birds and fish working the first and second guts. Threws some lures and caught a ton of skipjacks. Got to the jetties no action, moved back to the birds. Ended up catching some big whiting. Sunday hit the North jetty in Port A. It was slow
at first. Started catching some whiting. My wife got bored and started throwing her gold spoon she caught a nice 19-1/2" flounder then I got a 20" trout Charlotte CPR a 40" red on live croaker. All in all it was a fun trip. Try again in September. Here are some pictures of our trip.
