It was my birthday last Friday. Still waiting on my gift from the board I asked for a 2500 Sustain on a 6'8" H&H Kevlar rod. Very Happy

H&H makes a good rod. I use a 7ft HX4 that I won at the API last year. If your looking for a good 2500-3000 series spinning reel, the pflueger Supreme XT is a very good reel for under $150. I bought one at roys black friday sale last year, and its still working perfectly using it 3-4 times a week since I bought it. All ive done to it is change out the bearings for Boca ceramic orange seal bearings. The drag washers are starting to go out on the main spool, but it took 150+ reds, a 41" drum, dozens of floudner, and countless other fish to wear them down.

I would put it up against a stradic any day.

Happy birthday and it's in the mail. I too would like a Sustain but the Stradic does just fine.
