Winds 2-4 mph currently out of the SW. Humidity is 87% , Temp is 77, baro. is at a nice 29.89, Just a trace of rain in the past 24 hrs. Currently the radar is clear. Bay waters are shaping up nicely. Jupiter is the big star in the NE sky with Mars just below and to the left. Staying in my backyard today.

Well after a not so productive report yesterday I had to make up for it. Headed out this morning with my good neighbor Bamared into the backyard. He was using live shrimp and I started off with a trout pattern Skitterwalker. We ended up with 15 nice fat trout ranging from 15 1/2 to 23 inches. The topwaters operator boated the biggest trout but the live shrimp won in numbers . Cost wise artificials came in first. Plastics did well in pumpkinseed bull minnow. I also threw some chickenboys and they also boated fish. 1 keeper red on live shrimp. Trout were abundant in shallow water from 1 ft to 3 ft. I will post up a pic to go along with this report later. I do have one to back it up. Very Happy

Zipping across Snoppy flats, headed to my backyard. Good photo Bamared!

Sunday fish.

Thanks for the report! Sounds like a good day to fix rods and clean all my old Peen reels before they go back in the closet. Smile

Will I ever be glad to finish this remodel job. Then my wife will let me fish again. Been tough looking out at the water, and the boats, while working on this old place. It will be very nice when completed.

We need to hit the backyard someday sir. My work never ends. Sometimes you have have to take a break from it. Sometimes when you do that the fits end up fitting better, after a fishing break.

good report Stan. I also agree about fishing breaks. Work always seems to be better after a good fishing day.

I use a Shimano Stradic 2500 spinner, 8lb test mono, 14lb test shock leader, no snaps or swivels, and for the last couple of years Johnny Morris Carbonlite rods from Bass Pro. 7ft for plastics, 6ft for topwaters,
