I found a new spot today and dang the fishing was as hot as the weather. Started wading at 5:30 and was done by 7:30. I was throwing the same queen cocahoe minnow and at first the fish were just tail biting. But after the sun started dropping the fish were getting aggressive and I was getting bit almost every other cast just reeling the lure in straight. I haven't had a day of fishing this hot in a long time. Total keepers caught were nine trout and 4 reds with numerous dinks mixed in. I only took home 5 and 3. I didn't want to spend all night cleaning fish. Fish were caught in 2' of water near a sandy shoreline. Water was still brown and lots of floating grass. Only got this one crappy photo.

Good catch. Next time, take the picture with yourself facing the sun, it comes out alot better. Thats as long as you dont give away your location, in which case I understand 100%. |
