From the looks of the beach cam at Malaquite
http://www.nps.gov/webcams-pais/PadreINS.jpg
and the surf temp there at 80 I would think that the upwelling is back.
I would expect the same up from Bob Hall and in between. The water temperature at the pier earlier this week was 87 and it is down to 80 as well.

| We just can't seem to catch break. The cold upwelling is back, and it also seems like the Laguna is starting to get murkier again from the brown tide. |

And with the cold water, crappy visibility, and an over-abundance of hardheads.....
This is turning out to be a summer worth forgetting. |

Have you thought about Matagorda? Not PINS, but a good plan B. Same tackle/tactics apply. |

| Damn. I was planning on hitting the sand Friday after finishing all my volleyball camps. I guess if I can't catch fish I'll consume some IPA's and catch a buzz. |

| Curious what the Port A salts think...with the upwelling back again with cold water, shouldn't the fishing be better in the shallower, waters like the grass flats nearer Aransas Pass versus PINS where the cold upwelling conservatively brings a million or two hungry hardheads? |

| So colder temps would mean less action on the water? |
