Is that green water with a slight hint of blue within range on the PINS camera, or are my eyes deceiving me?
It is like the man in the desert thirsting for water; I have to be careful because I keep looking at surf water through PINS camera thinking I am seeing beautiful water close in.
Anyone have beach water color report from your outings today?
Thank you |

Sounds too good to pass up!! I bet the crowds will be bad on the PINS, I hope they don't park in the middle of the road. Find out tomorrow!! _________________ Stinger-A |

| If I wasn't going out of town, I'd be at the sticks SBHP just before sunrise freelining some croakers for sure this weekend. The water was real nice this evening. |

| Strange thing is water is still funky off color in Port A at beach access 1A...still almost flat. Even in the dirty water Tuesday evening there were plenty of whiting eager to bite south of access 1...beach was packed... |

With Bighead allaying my doubts of water clarity, I went to the surf last night.
Upon arrival, the water was the prettiest (clear) I have seen in a long time.
But (the word no one likes when used in this manner), it got dirty about 12:00am this morning. It was not that chocolate milk dirty, still very fishable.
Webcam on PINS gives appearance of mostly clear except for maybe right along the beach.
Several have mentioned that with PINS cam it is difficult to read the water clarity, I agree.
Perhaps with a little looking at webcam each day and actual reports of people on beach same day, we can begin to establish a point of reference in our heads.
Everyone be careful and alert because not everyone will do these two common sense things. |

From our Facebook.com/pinspals page:
| Quote: | Quick beach report. Ryan and I hit PINS this morning about 630. Front entrance was getting crowded. Saw one dummy that had his Buick LeSabre (seriously) stuck and was digging it out with his hands (no shovel). Regardless, we pressed on. Water was a solid 9.8/10 for clarity...it was that good. Waves were small, tide was falling. Driving, once you cleared the 4WD sign was pretty easy as the 'road' was pretty packed down...lots of dum dums parking IN the road. Lots of kids running around, so be careful. We used live shrimp and caught lots of Whiting, kept a few to use for bait. Kim caught one nice Pompano and a Bonnethead Shark.
Ryan soaked cut mullet way WAY beyond the 3rd bar all morning and didn't so much as get a look at it from anything. We set up at about the 17 mile mark...and left about Noon. When we got to the park entrance, it was VERY crowded...BE CAREFUL DRIVING AROUND THERE...lots of kids running around, and people just pulling out or backing in. Came home, took a nap, ate something, and we're going to head back out again to see if anything will bite on a rising tide this evening. |
Hope it helps...we're fixing to head back out.
