Has anyone been traveling the ICW the past few days. Wondering how far one would have to travel to get out of the brown stuff.

I found decent water in Yarbrough, but that was a week ago.

I have been on the water all week, and glad to say it looks pretty good.

Everything east of the ICW, from Nighthawk to the Land Cut, has good clarity. Baffin is still brown. Boat Hole to Shamrock is really brown and ugly, as of Monday. The KRS, and out 300+/- yards is clear, however, the deeper parts of Emmords and Beecrofts are Brown.

There is a lot more water to fish now, than there was all Spring. So before we cuss those hard SE winds, we need to thank them for pushing the brown water into CC Bay and away from home for a while. Catching has improved dramatically with water improving. We had 2 over 28" and 1 almost 31" trout yesterday on Bass Assassins in the Lagoon. They were skinny, but fun. We released them for y'all. Pass it on.

This sounds more positive than it sounded a few weeks ago.

Thanks for your report. Very Happy

Fished Yarborough, Rocky Slew, Channel markers in Baffin Thursday....Water was green there but very brown around ICW...Be carefull going down there...Channel markers on wrong side...Far and few between in some places....Hug the green markers...North and south your best bet...Trout had "Lock Jaw" that morn....

south of the bird island area the KRS actually has some clarity right off the shoreline... I was running back from down south saturday around 4 PM and ran that KRS shoreline back in and had a good look at quite a few miles of it.

the mouth of baffin isn't terrible... tide gage is worse but still not as bad as los corrales, black bluff and everything west in baffin. It sucks horribly.

yarborough is a little murky green and the clarity comes and goes depending on what day it is, rocky slough has some decent water, land cut is good... mansfield is awesome. I haven't been north of bluff marina in over a month...
