I looked at the website, and had to laugh at the "Attack the Flats" slogan posted. I mean that is ironic as hell really when you think about it. I keep picturing that boat burried in the sand, and then some cheezy 1980 VHS style graphics with Attack The Flats popping up. Maybe throw a freeking shark in there to, what the hell.

My tip to new builders, as an avid boat day dream buyer, please refrain from typical boat slogans and come up with some orginal stuff. MAybe like this boat runs so skinny, it will make you throw up after you eat lunch, and look fat in the mirror.

That video is even funnier if you have seen the original!

The sad fact about this is accidents like this happen all the time and as any experienced boater knows, when it happens, it happens faster than you can imagine and we learn from that. Ultimately inexperience is replaced by complacency but the end result is usually the same.

It's easy to laugh an point fingers at the guy who wrecked in an area that is known to be dicey from time to time, thank god no one was hurt and let the legal system sort it out... Unless he had some stolen Yetis, then we should torture him! Besides, he apparently builds a solid boat, albeit a little prone to instability from wakes or sandbars!

The ski basin should be safer for the next few weeks at least.

They should probably change all the photos on the tiburon boats website since that boat is now infamous. Who wants a boat that somehow manages to get burried in the side of the ski canal?

WELL....... I just heard from a VERY reliable source that this cat was racing another guy and he hit a wake and that is what caused this accident...... I know the guy very well that just told me this and his buddy backed up the story, and i believe that guy because HE was the other guy involved in the race!

You can get thrown out of a boat easier than you think.

The only thing I can add is that there are a few very shallow points in the basin. I guess if you want to give the benefit of the doubt perhaps he hit one of those. But it seems to me that the boat was going fast when it hit, but with no one in the boat thats possible. I personally don't see any one going back there drunk on a weekend. I see TPW back there all the time checking everyone. It's usually a vary fun place if you get back in one of the coves, but its crowded, so you have to be ready for that.

I'm just glad no one got hurt.

According to his website, that boat was supposed to run in 2" of water. In the famus words of Al Borland, "I dont think so Tim"

My comment was a little tongue in cheek as they say. If the guy was in fact racing in the basin on a busy day, he's a fool and an idiot. Also, apparently the boat can run in no water at all for about 6 feet.

BS. I can tell you from experience that you can get thrown out of a boat without driving like a butthead.
