Headed to snoopes to eat and as we pull up a green aluminum Lowe fishing boat was floating out to the channel so we pull up grab the boat and tow it back to the doc, owner comes over and is a complete jerk and doesn't even give so much as a thanks.
Then about an hour later we are crusing back by and a boat called Bite Me II had come loose from the dock at Doc's and was way out. So we pull up the owner yells from the dock to junp in so i do I drive it to the dock at Doc's and he was very greatful asked what he owed us to which of course I said nothing and we went our way and he went his.
Now hopefully the fishing gods will show us some favor the rest of this trip because thus far we have only caught 1 keeper.. |

I don't know either. He acted like we untied his boat or something, just really rude. I almost went to where he was sitting and said something to him about being an ungrateful Richard but drownding a shrimp was more important to me. |

| Can't understand the first guy, either, but they exist. On two different occasions, I towed people with engine trouble from the ICW to their homes in Padre Isles. One took an hour and the other an hour and a half. Both were very picky about how I positioned their boat at their dock. Neither said so much as thank you. |

Yup towed a jeep on PINS 25 miles back to pavement last year and they never said thanks either. But we can't copy their attitude , need to follow Jesus and have fellow feeling for all. The rest is up to them.

Good on you. Don't know about folks like that. Rusty I can't imagine folks being picky about the way you towed them into their docks. What Richard Craniums! _________________ Like Corpusfishing.com on Facebook! |

Cynical Truism - "No good deed goes unpunished"
I have rendered boating aid to many only to have them act rudely. It's no excuse, but I think that often they are embarrassed and are trying to save face. An odd way to do it ! I've probably stopped 6 times for folks who have run out of gas who were reluctant to admit it. It's now the first question I ask when I pull up to a stranded boater, and I carry a siphon rig on my boat so I don't have to tow them. |

had this exact thing happen to me not long ago! when I was leaving and steamed I had a thought...a TRP with the jack on 6 throws ALOT of water...but I behaved like a grown up. I'd like to think I'm better than that _________________ You should have been here yesterday, they were tearin' 'em up. |

I don't tow. Bad experiences and stupid people drove me to that. I don't mind stopping checking and making sure everyone is OK. I'll be more than
happy to give someone a ride back to the dock, if I'm going that way, I'll be more than happy to call/contact a tow service, but I'm not a tow service.

BY the way for those that don't know......If you need to wave down another boat for assistance.....PLEASE use your life jacket to wave with and not just an empty hand. I've been know just to wave back.
