Fished south today against my better judgement. The water way off color. When we came back north of Bird Island the water was a lot nicer. Think I'll fish the north end tomorrow. Oh, and we only got to keep 3 Trout. All caught on Gulps... Adios

| Yeah, water is starting to get a nasty stain down south, almost a shade of yoohoo brown. Wading this morning at dusk I couldn't tell where the grass line was! |

I haven't fished since fall and made my way from marker 37 to the cut. It is not pretty south of Bird damn near to the cut. I think it will be a little tougher fishing there again this summer. At some point it will affect the grass. _________________ Wish I Were in Baffin |

| Do you guys think this has mostly to do with lack of rainfall(freshwater runoff)? Seems like hypersaline water(like the caribbean) is very clear because sediments easily fall to the bottom in that kind of water. That looks like some kind of bloom to me. Just curious. |

I don't know that any one condition gets all the blame but rain is the leading contender. It is definitely a bloom and has been around in some size since last winter. To me it looks like it has expanded both south and north. _________________ Wish I Were in Baffin |
