I tried loggin on and looking at the forum you are talking about, but only the Classifieds is showing up right now.

Okay, just talked to the good folks at PINS.

NO OIL SPILL

However, there are some large chunks of tar washing ashore, presumabley from the oil spill off of Galveston a while back.

thanks for the information Big John. Those chunks of tar make some great fuel for the all night camp fire on PINS. Of course only when we are allowed to have fires there. Thanks again.

Also for that website you have to register before you are allowed to see any of the forums. It is owned by twistedrods of flourbluff.

To view or post on Coastal Fishing you must register and log in or all you will get are the classifieds. That is the way it is setup.

As for the tar. It is from an old spill and it is several acres in size according to the info we recieved. This is not the first time it has happened and won't be the last. But you better be ready to clean the crap off of your equipment and vehicles.
