Hey everyone. Had a question. Went up to rocksprings for some spring turkey hunting. Called and called till I used up all the slate on my turkey caall! Lol. Saw about 30 hens in 2 days and a few Jakes. Are the gobblers not chasing the hens right now? Is it a tad early? Anybody experiencing this as well? Thanks in advance. _________________ wishin i was fishin! |

was in Karnes county over the weekend....killed a few birds, but the only ones answering calls were jakes, then all went quiet, then they just showed up at our setup...
Rocksprings has always been a little tricky...remember that they opened the season one week earlier than usual this year, i believe the tom's are hot, but not "on fire" so to speak... _________________ Trophy whitetail and exotic hunts on some of the finest ranches Texas has to offer, www.mcoutfitterstexas.com

Thanks guys! Did not figure the one week earlier this year. Last year it was the second week of April when I had gobblers everywhere. Will try again in a couple of weeks. Thanks again. _________________ wishin i was fishin! |
