Made our annual trip down on Monday evening for a couple of days of heaven. Beautiful sunset Monday evening with light northerly winds to usher us in. Driving was great and stopped about sunset in the 40's. After some bacon and eggs with good camp coffee first cast was made and had a nice 26 inch red on the beach. 5 minutes later a nice oversize of 32 gave a great fight to be admired and released to fight again someday. Pomps showed up and we had a blast with them for the next couple of hours. This scene played on pretty much all day. Around 2:00 buddy caught a nice 4 foot shark and had a blast taking a photo and releasing her back to mother ocean. Ii was about 100 yards north of him at the time and hooked by biggest red to date. A 44 inch beauty that was a bunch of fun as well. CPR and back to the gene pool for her as well. i never have seen such a good looking fat girl on the beach as I did Tuesday. Surf and turf for supper with fried potatoes made a great end to the day. Wind picked up a bit and around 10:30 when we fired the grill up for a midnight snack of bratwurst we thought Wednesday might not be as good. Sometime around 0200 or so the wind layed and switched back to the north. Awoke Wednesday to slack wind and even better water than the day before. We caught even more Pomps and a couple of more reds before breaking camp and heading back to the real world. It was good to see Cap't Billy driving down the beach and enjoying retirement. My 2 trips that I had with him a couple of years ago seem to pay off over and over. thanks Cap't

Great report! Wish I could of had the experience of fishing with Captain Billy. Always heard stories about him from my father when I was a kid. Never had the honor of fishing with him though.
